ATTEMPTS OF TOGETHERNESS (2025)

In February 2025 I worked on Attempts of Togetherness.

Attempts of Togetherness is produced by Jenny Beyer Production and coproduced by Kampnagel Hamburg and Mia Habib Productions with artists from Sweet & Tender Collaborations an international collective I have been engaged with since 2006. Next year marks 20 years of collaboration.

Attempts of Togetherness brought together 17 artists from 13 countries and 5 continents. We brought vast ideas and perspectives to the table. In that sense, Sweet & Tender Collaborations are more akin to a large quarrelling (but tender) artistic family than a singular-visioned team.

Moved slow & felt low
Felt weight, tensions & eruptions
Stirred & simmered
Accumulated & swarmed
Fragmented in motion
Chirped, hummed & shouted
Mourned & raved
Stared into the fire
Spun slogans into knots
Talked around tables & circles
Met the people of Hamburg
Met each other (again)
