MAKING TIME (2025)
Between 2023 and 2025, I worked in sheds and studios across Gunaikurnai Country, Dja Dja Wurrung Country, and Wurundjeri Country. In response to living and creating in autonomous and isolated settings, I developed an experimental exercise video series imagined for online audiences.
Recently, this process has pivoted from the URL to the IRL through the Punctum x Dancehouse On Residence program, where I’ve been experimenting with liveness and participation. Artificial personas — Time and Ocean — now engage with local communities across both physical and dialogical platforms.
The process has been shaped by participants including Alice Heyward, Geoffrey Watson, Luigi Vescio, Lz Dunn, Phoebe Robinson, Luke Hickmott, Briega Young, and Thembi Soddell. Their involvement has helped propel the project into new and dynamic territories.
The combined support of Punctum, Dancehouse, Bendigo Venues & Events, and La Trobe Art Institute has been central to the unfolding of this work. Across these spaces, communities, experiments, and conversations, a new work emerges: Making Time.
