MUFFLED ANTHEMS FOR TOMORROW (2022)

Picture
Dear friends, I’m dumbfounded with anticipation and totally honoured to perform in Tilda Indigo’s haunting new work Muffled Anthems for Tomorrow.

I will perform alongside esteemed collaborators and over a nine-hour window, stretching across the dark night between 9pm to 6am, Feb 3-6, 2022 at the Indistinct Space.

Muffled Anthems for Tomorrow is a viewing marathon that erodes meaning by the hour. The space is polluted with a cacophony of used cars, personal plant collections, deconstructed furniture parts, irrational ideologies, remixed cookbook disasters and neighbourhood choirs. As time passes, at first excruciatingly slowly, and then with tremendous pace, a group of performers attempt to hold it all together, for themselves and for humanity at large. But the jungle really is quite loud.

Muffled Anthems for Tomorrow has been a long time coming and it’s been even longer since I last performed - I’ve missed this dearly. I’m beyond excited to be able to share this with some of you.

In part due to gathering restrictions, Tilda has made the decision not to widely promote the performances, however, if you are interested and willing to attend, I’d ask you to message me directly for more information.
